Eat, Drink, Do, Stay: Your Spring Guide to Montauk
We all know the saying, “April showers bring May flowers,” but in Montauk April has a lot more to offer than rain. We aren’t meteorologists, so there’s probably still a chance for some sort of precipitation, but regardless of the season or the weather, Montauk always has something to offer. From getting outdoors to treating yourself at the spa, there are a number of local businesses and things to do out East before summer comes around. Because Montauk is for everyone.
Places to Stay
Take your shoes off and stay a while, this is supposed to be a vacation. And you’ve likely heard us say it before, but now is an excellent time to book your stay. A lot of East End motels and hotels offer lower rates and specials before summertime. A couple places to consider for that May trip to Montauk you’re booking:
The Aqualina Inn
Only a block away from Main Street, and a short walk to the beach, you’ll find yourself in the perfect spot to enjoy all Montauk has to offer. Best part is, the pool is heated.

Daunt’s Albatross Motel
Family owned and operated since 1977, but now with a fresh new look. Not to mention The Bird on the Roof is one of the better spots for breakfast around town and you’ll find yourself only 100 feet from the beach.

Things to Do
Depends on what kind of vacationer you are. Some people like to relax, others like to do. Here are a couple things, maybe even one you could compromise on:
Trail Ride at Deep Hollow Ranch
Channel your inner cowboy at the oldest cattle ranch in America. View Montauk by horseback by taking scenic rides through the trails and coast. Don’t worry, good for first timers.

From boutiques to candy to clothing to art, there are plenty of shops to explore. From Candied Anchor to Shipwreck Montauk, you’ll find more than a few hidden gems right in the heart of town.
